But in the second quarter PHS took command of the game and outscored the Lady Eagles 23-14. Scoring tightened in the sec- ond half, with PHS edging their opponent 38-34. PHS scorers included Ami Ridgedell, Robin Richardson, Savanna Balado, Bailie Savoy, Christie Pevey, Bria Bohanon, Anne James and Emily Pevey. Game Five PONCHATOULA- 65 LORANGER - 55  With two evenly-matched teams, the Lady Wave con- cluded the first quarter with a 1.7-15 point lead. It was an- other squeaker in the second, but with PHS outscoring the Wolves 9-6. With nine points Bria Bohanon was high scorer in the first half. The Lady Wave took the gloves off in the third quarter, outscoring the Wolves 23-9. Anne James had the hot hand, with 12 points. Loranger lashed back in the last quarter, outscoring PHS 25- 16. But it wasn't good enough to beat back the Wave. Game Six ST. She introduced Montessori education to Ponchatoula as founder, owner, and directress of Magnolia Montessori School for 30 years, and she was co- publisher of The Ponchatoula Times newspaper. She served two terms as president of the Gardenettes of Ponchatoula, she was also a member of the Krewe of Erin, Montessori As- sociates, the Ponchatoula Poet- ry Society, the Louisiana Rhym- ers, and was an art student of Kim Howes at The Art Station in Ponchatoula. Terry Ann McMahon was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 8, 1947, the daughter of Covington native Allen Freder- ick and Frances Adelaide Buck- er Frederick of Detroit. She was a graduate of Our Lady Star of the Sea in Grosse Pointe, Michigan; a 1969 gradu- ate (B.A.) of St. Xavier College in Chicago, Illinois, and com- pleted post-graduate work in Montessori education in 1977 at the St. Nicholas Academy in London, England and at Sprin- ghill College, Mobile, Alabama. She was a senior screener in learning disabilities, certified by the Irlen Institute. She is survived by her hus- band, Bryan T. McMahon; a son, Brendan Byard McMahon (Landis), and three daughters, Anna McMahon Nagrath (Lyle Breaux), Bliss McMahon (Mike Strupp), and Deirdre Margaret Sanchez (Mariano); two broth- ers, Thom (Valerie) Frederick of Virginia Beach, VA, and Dr. Tim (Gladys) Frederick of Spring- field, MO, and; two sisters, Mrs. Beth Austin of Colorado, and Mrs. Mary Fourmeaux of Covington; and three grand- children, Anna Maria Sanchez, Lucas Martin Sanchez, and Fe- licity Brigid McMahon. Preceding her in death were her parents, and her brothers- in-law, Terrence Gerard McMa- hon and Steve Fourmeaux. Friends were received Fri- day, January 1, 2010, at the Harry McKneely & Son Funer- al Home in Ponchatoula, and on Saturday January 2, 2009 at St. Albert Catholic Chapel on the SLU campus from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass with Fr. JACQUELINE MARIE FAULKENBERRY Jacqueline Marie Faulkenberry, 79, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, died Friday, December 25, 2009, in Sunrise Assisted Living. She was born on Friday, August 8, 1930, in Birmingham, Ala- bama, daughter of the late William Walker and the late Emma Williams Walker. Mrs. Faulkenberry was a member of Women's Missionary; Pon- chatoula Gardenettes and a Sunday School teacher 1st Baptist Church. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Kitty Faulken- berry of Ponchatoula, LA; daughter and son-in-law, Carol & Mike Gericke of Stone Mountain, GA; grandson and wife, Ross and Stephanie Gericke of Cumming, GA; two grandsons, Ryan Gericke of Stone Mountain, GA, Shawn Faulkenberry of Pon- chatoula, LA; brother & sister-in-law, Grady & Betty Walker of Zephyr Hills, FL and several nieces, nephews & cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Edmond Faulken- berry.
