Deadline for telephone
directory changes
The deadline for making changes or
additions in the Tangipahoa Parish
new telephone directory is right
around the corner, according to ,John
Pasqua Manager for South Central
Bell
"'The last day we can accept any
additions or changes in the new
directory will be Friday' March 4."
Pasqua said. "That's when we close
out our records and get the informa-
tion ready to go to the printer
Pasqua pointed out that custorners
needing to make changes or add
li',tin2s should contact the telephoue
company's business office before
Friday March 4. Otherwise, listings
will continue as they are in the
current directory.
Police patrols intensified
in wake of break-ins

Pdice Chief Ernest Peltier said he
has intensified local patrols.
The police chief also urges local
businesspeople to make certain their
premises are secure, their deposits
made regularly and not left in the
buildings, and that special attention
be paid to locks, doors and windows

program to upgrade the training of '

the first LSU Law Enforcement
