An on-line guestbook and family forum are available at www.harrymckneely.com SJS names Crusaders The Crusaders of the Month for February are Krys- tal Waddell, sixth grade, and Joseph Pellittieri, third grade. Each month from August through April, St. Joseph School names a Crusader and a Mini Crusader of the Month. Students are nominated by fac- ulty, other students, and the community. A selection com- mittee reviews the nominations and names Crusaders for that month. Crusaders of the Month are students who exemplify by their words and deeds what it means to be true Crusaders. They dis- play a love of God and a devo- tion to His work. They show ob- vious concern for peers, family, and friends and participate in school life with zeal and enthu- siasm. They stand up for causes or situation when they know it is right. They are leaders, not followers. The Crusaders show honesty and integrity, respect for authority, and a willingness to give service to others. Students chosen as Crusad- ers-of the Month are honored with the announcement at an all-school Mass. They are given a certificate, a gift basket, and a Crusader T-shirt. Their picture is taken and made into a poster which hangs in the school office. They are honored with their pic- rare on the school website and in The Crusader Connection.
