The 5-piece Summer Breeze
Band that has entertained New
Orleans' audiences for more
than 20 years will play music
from the 1950's through to-
day's hits. Summer Breeze has
appeared at major functions
throughout the New Orleans
area, including Jazz Fest, the
Gumbo Fest, the Crawfish Fest,
and the Orange Fest, as well as
Mardi Gras and conventions.
They have become a favor-
ite at all the local dance clubs
and casinos. In addition, Sum-
mer Breeze has performed with
New Orleans Celebrities such
as Rockin' Doopsie Jr. and Irma
Thomas. I know you will enjoy
listening to their music and se -
ing all the visiting queens from
our great state. I look forward to

cently enlisted in the United
States Navy under the Delayed
Entry Program at Navy Recruit-
ing District, New Orleans, La.
The program allows recruits
to enter the Navy and take up to
one year to complete prior com-
mitments such as high school.
Using recruiters as mentors,
this program helps recruits ease
into the transition from civilian
to military life.
Motichek will report for ac-
tive duty to undergo basic train-
ing at the Navy's Recruit Train-
ing Center, Great Lakes, Ill.

of Ponchatoula High School of
