::i!?iiZ THE PONCHATOULA TIMES APRIL 7, 1983 1 Poetry, Art, Music, Photography, Literature, Reviews Early-Strawberry test poster winner exhibits works at Guaranty Galrery through April Susan Jones Patenotte will have a display of her works in the Guaranty Gallery for the month of April. Her show is entitled "Which Came First." denoting the artist&apos;s two fields of artistic endeavor, personai art and poster art. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Main Office of First Guaranty Bank in downtown Hammond and is open during regular banking hours, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mrs. Patenotte is a native of Amite, grew up in Hammond, graduated from Hammond High School and received her BA degree from SLU in Art Education. She makes her home m Hammond with her husband, Wyatt Patenotte. She. along with Terry Bahm, has designed nurnerous posters which have been highly successful They started the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival series and did the official posters for 1977. 78 and 79. They have created the Anaite Oyster Day' Poster series since 1981 and did the first official Hammond Balloon Festival Poster and the 1981 official Hammond Heritage Day poster (the CasadeFresa) Several are included in the Historic Ne*. Orleans Cot lection Along with her extensive work in posters, she has continued with her art work Her favorite media are india ink and watercolor done often- times on aged paper. Her work has appeared in the Louisiana State Art Exhibition for Professional Artists in Baton Rouge. the De]ta Regional Primate Center Exhibit in Covington. the Art Directors and Designers Association of New Orleans Exhibit and the Mobil Foundation's Tri State Exhibition in Beaumont. Texas. The Bahm Patenotte posters were recently selected to be shown in the Arts and Humanities Council of Greater Baton Rouge Fst for All in the Juried Category and they have been approved by a panel of jurors to participate in the 1983 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
