AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 688 - CREATING A VE-
HICLE/FUELALLOWANCE FOR THE MAYOR AND POLICE CHIEF
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Ponchatoula,
Louisiana that:
Section 1: There is hereby created a monthly vehicle subsidy
plan of $900.00 per month for the Mayor and Police Chief.
Section 2: The Mayor and Police Chief will provide and main-
tain, at their own expense, a vehicle for use in the performance of their
duties as Mayor and Police Chief.
Section 3: As a condition of this agreement, the Mayor and
Police Chief agree to maintain, at their own expense, a minimum of
$500,000/$500,000/$500,000 in insurance coverage. Proof of coverage
must be submitted to the city upon effective date of this ordinance and
upon renewal of insurance.
Section 5:This ordinance is to take effect on July 1, 2019.
A motion was made by Mr. LeBlanc to adopt the ordinance and was
duly seconded by Mr. Daniels.
This ordinance having been introduced on March 11, 2019, by Mr.
LeBlanc, notice of public hearing having been published, said public
hearing having been held, and been read by the title at a regular meeting
of the City Council on April 8, 2019, and called for final passage and hav-
ing been put to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
