St. Joseph School's Michael Brennan got to go to Reggie

of our local midwife Emmy Trammell. Her grandfather Bill
Haight was a popular (elected and reelected several times)
Ponchatoula mayor.

ing the mike cord as he went. Then he moved to one side,
getting wound up in the cord and nearly tripping be-
fore jerking it again. After several circles and jerks, a little
girl in the third pew leaned toward her mother and whis-
pered,
"If he gets loose, will he hurt us?"

One particular four-year old prayed, "And forgive us our

I couldn't help but notice that our own Lou Ann LeBlanc
at the Holy Ghost Parish Fair did no stray far from the
famous Pie Lady aka Frances Chauvin, whose trademark
pies are the stuff of legend and were very popular at the
fair (Braville, did you get so much as a forkful?).
Tabasco: a Louisiana product, holds the second oldest

Perhaps Rep. Steve Pugh should get a law passed in the
Louisiana Legislature affirming that it is legal to breathe.
After all, it took Revised Statute 51.2247.1 to spell out that
a mother "may breastfeed her baby in any public place"
and clarifies that breastfeeding is not a violation of law.
