(Gardenette Photo) Smell the Rose FROM PAGE 2 las Mavericks and takes on the Miami Heat in the N.B.A finals. While the Bulls have a great squad, the combination of Miami's "Big Three" will prove to be too much for the young Bulls to overcome. Look for LeBron James and company to fight their way to the N.B.A finals and meet up with a hungry Thunder team. Kevin Durant is the best player that you have never heard of, and with the aid of Russel Westbrook, and James Harden, this team has what it takes to capture the title. So, hold your breath while the new kid on the block takes over, and the heavily favored Miami Heat step aside and watch the youngest team in the N.B.Abecome champions. Bin Laden FROM PAGE 2 On the other hand the government people, that would be the people getting paid by the United States Government, took a com- pletely different view. Yes, they agreed that bin Laden was dead but they also stated that he was the working head of A1 Qaeda and was loVed very much. The government men said because he was loved by Al-Qaeda that America could be the place where revenge would take place. As I have grown older I have become much more skeptical. I have become very skeptical about our government employees. The higher the government employee the higher my skepticism. So in this instance I take the word of the non-government person over the government person. I think that George Will and Bob Wood- ward are right. I think that Tom Donlin and Michael Chertoff are wrong. I have come to this, if there are major terrorist attacks commit- ted on the U.S. in the not-too-distant future then the government men were right. But within the next year if there are no major strikes in the U.S.A. by terrorists then the non-government men were right. We have to wait a while longer to find out who Osama bin Laden really was. Men of history Historian Jim Perrin, former Mayor Collins Bonicard, Mayor Bob Zabbia, Judge Brent Dufreche officiated at the time capsule opening Saturday morning. Judge Dufreche was on the Centennial Commission that buried the capsule 50 years ago and his letter to this generation was found inside.
