(LA-SCAN) ROBERT EUGENE ANDERSON Robert Eugene Anderson of Ponchatoula, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Anderson was born in Wheel- ing, West Virginia on July 27, 1928. He was the son of Rob- ert Jesse and Jeanne DeBerry Anderson. He graduated from Tridelphia High School in 1946, where he played football and baseball. Upon graduation Bob enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, attained the rank of Sergeant, and was honorably discharged after being awarded the Expert Marksman Medal in 1948. HE graduated from Duke University in 1952 where he was president of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Bob was an accom- plished musician who played clarinet and saxophone for 17 years in big dance bands, in- cluding the Marine band at Cherry Point and the Duke Am- bassadors band. Anderson worked for the Du- Pont Company's Textile Fibers Department from 1952 to 1985. He held management positions in Wilmington, DE, New York City and Geneva, Switzerland. In 1966, he received an MBA from New York University. Bob moved to Louisiana in 2001 where he met his second wife, Cinda Richardson. They enjoyed eight happy years together. He was a source of comfort and inspira- tion to many people through his service to the Samaritan Cen- ter's Food Bank and his leader- ship with various ministries at church. Bob loved the outdoors, espe- cially camping, canoeing and fly fishing in the Minnesota lakes and North Carolina mountain streams. He enjoyed traveling, snow skiing and golfing. He loved cooking and was an avid reader, always seeking to chal- lenge his mind by learning new things, including foreign lan- guages. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Clark Anderson. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Cinda, and by his chil- dren and grandchildren from his first marriage: his daugh- ters, Kathleen Winter and her husband Dr. Robert Winter of Wilmington, DE and Jane An- derson of Washington, NC; and a son, John Anderson and wife Kirsten Anderson of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Douglas, Lauren, and Caroline Winter, and Thomas, Paul and Cath- erine Anderson. He will also be missed by his three stepdaugh- ters and their families, and by his many friends. A memorial service will be held at Hosanna Lutheran Church on Thursday, June 3 at 3 p.m., preceded by visita- tion 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ho- sanna Lutheran Church, 2480 Hwy 190 East, Mandeville, LA, 70448. Dr. Adelaide Frazier and longtime partner Dave Berwick ADELAIDE STUART FRAZIER Adelaide Stuart Frazier, 60, of Baton Rouge, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was born on January 2, 1950 in Natchez Mississippi to Clyde and Adelaide Frazier. ADELE DRURY ROBISON, Adele Drury Robison, fin- ished her journey in this life and started her new journey with her Lord and Savior on May 29, 2010, in Twin Oaks Nursing Home. She was 94 years old, a resident of Ponchatoula and a native of Manchac. Surviving are her daugh- ters, Dorothy Scharwarth Lof- tus, Barbara Scharwarth Cox, Vivian Scharwarth Shelton, son, Robert Scharwarth, broth- ers, Jeff and Frank Drury, and many loving grandchildren and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Robison, daughters, Carolyn Schar- warth, Brenda Scharwarth Brumfield, son, Kenneth Schar- warth, brothers, Steve and Au- brey Drury, sisters, Florence Drury, Anna Mae Dennison, and Dora Couch.
