A legacy in Stone
2019 Krewe of Erin Queen Maygan O'Mally
treated her royal court to an end of the summer
party with a purpose. The Krewe of Erin Court
and ladies of the Krewe were invited to paint and
decorate rocks that will be hidden in honor of Isla
Tinsley a seven-year-old girl from Hinckley, Leic-
estershire who passed away from terminal cancer.
Tinsley started a movement that spread across
the globe. Tinsley asked people to paint stones
and hide them when the stones were found you
were asked to take a photo with the stone post it
on social media and re-hide the stone. This is one
of Queen Maygans many community service proj-
ects. Pictured (left to right) Brooke Walker, 2019

Local Ponchatoula Times reader and subscrib-
er Trint Lavergne enjoyed an end of the summer
vacation to Las Vegas with his mother Tiffney
Lavergne. Trint and his mother took a day trip
to The Grand Canyon and enjoyed a helicopter
ride into the Grand Canyon and then continued
their adventure to explore the canyon's beauty
by boat. Trint improvised with a homemade The
Ponchatoula Times paper as his flight was sched-
uled to leave before his weekly paper would be
delivered. Trint even asked his mother to stop at
a newstand at three a.n on the way to the airport
to purchase a paper. Please remember to bring
a copy of The Times with you on your next vaca-
tion and snap a photo to share your travel with
your community. (Courtesy Photo by Tiffiney La-

Ponchatoula native Morgan Brennan, 8, brought
along her copy of The Times to visit her family in
Orange County California. Morgan spent the day
with her Nana in beautiful San Juan Capistrano
sightseeing, shopping, enjoying a delicious lunch
at one of the city's many outdoor cafes and vis-
iting the gorgeous Mission San Juan Capistrano
which was founded in 1776. The city is the site of
California's oldest residential neighborhood, Los
Rios. Pictured in front of the fountain at Mission
