First time novelist Clyde Eschete Sr. of Ponchatoula
introduced his book The Men Who Counted Cards this
week, and is busy working on his second book.
He describes his work as "The story of three genera-
tion 3 of the Dupre Family, how they managed to make
their fortune by gambling, first in France, then in Scot-
land and finally in America. Jock Dupre was a master
when it came to making a fortune, but not without dire
consequences.
The book follows his family to America where misfor-
tune seems to follow them."
Eschete is a native of New Orleans and currently re-
sides in Ponchatoula. His novel is available on Amazon.
