DONALD LOUIS STEVENS
Donald Stevens went to his heavenly home on Tuesday,
July 30, 2019 at the age of 85. He was a resident of Pon-
chatoula. Donald loved to be in the outdoors fishing in his
favorite spots and in his younger years enjoyed hunting.
He and his wife adored traveling the country together,
admiring the mountains. Donald was a caring and loving
man who is already deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Joan Davis
Stevens; daughter, Cindy Chandler; son, Perry Stevens;
sister, Eva Hebert; grandchildren, Chris Robinson, Me-
lissa Young, and Ashley Stevens; great-grandchildren,
Matthew Johnson, Paisley Robinson, and Parker Robin-
son; as well a close and dear friend, Lucy Cornish.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Louise
Parker Hebert and Louis Woodrow Hebert; and sister,
Evelyn Trabeau.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
WENDY HOTARD SMITH
Wendy Hotard Smith passed away on Wednesday,
July 31, 2019, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of
60. She was born on Tuesday, August 12, 1958 in New
Orleans, Louisiana to Mary Agnes Rome and the late
Felix F. Hotard.
She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Wendy is survived by her mother, Mary Agnes Rome;
husband, Eddy Smith; daughter, Ashley Bates (Jason);
son, Dustin Smith; sister, Cindy Oubre (Brian); brother,
Beaux Hotard; granddaughter, Hannah; and grandsons,
Ethan, Gabriel, Liam, Dust:n, Jr and Dakota.
She is preceded in death by her father, Felix F. Ho-
tard.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend the visi-
tation for Wendy on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W.
Magnolia St Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, from 9:00
AM until the memorial service began at 11:00 AM.
JUSTIN LEE SIBLEY
Justin, age 35, passed away on Saturday, August 3,
2019. He was a resident of Livingston Parish who loved
to listen to music and make people laugh with his prac-
tical jokes, but most of all spend time with his beauti-
ful daughter, Jayda'Lee. Justin never met a stranger
and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Everyone knew Justin and his grandmother, Carol Sib-
ley were two peas in a pod and was always there for
each other through thick and thin. Justin was" a jack of
all trades, but a master of none, that is already greatly
missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his daughter, Jayda'Lee Da'Shay
Sibley; parents, Stephanie Efferson and husband Mal-
com, David B. Stafford Sr.; siblings, Hannah Guillotte
and husband Bret, Elois Hogan, Janie Sims and hus-
band William, David Stafford Jr. and wife Joyce, Chris
Efferson, Craig Efferson, Penny Bergeron and Lillian
Hill and husband Jim; as well as numerous nieces,
nephews and friends.
Preceding Justin in death were his daughter, Aliviah
Hope Blount; and "his grandparents, Eldon and Carol
Sibley, Walter Stafford and Clovette Brock.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be
made to the funeral home.
CARLO DI MAIO
Carlo Di Maio died on July 31, 2019, surrounded
by loving family. Professor Di Maio was the second of
four sons born to Angelo Di Maio and Anna Maria Di
Gennaro Di Maio of Civitavecchia,Italy. He attended
schools in Santa Marinella, where mother and children
resided during the war and immediate post-war years,
and in Civitavecchia. In 1956 Carlo sailed for the Unit-
ed States to derive his U.S. citizenship before he turned
18. His father had been born in Chester, Pennsylvania,
the third child of Giuseppe Di Maio, an immigrant rail-
road worker, and Rosa Castellaccio Di Maio. When Rosa
died in childbirth, Giuseppe moved back to Italy with
the children. Angelo retained his U.S. citizenship and
was able to register his two older sons, Giuseppe (Jo-
seph) and Carlo, born before WWII, as United States
citizens.
Carlo is survived by his beloved wife, Sonnia, origi-
nally from Lima, Peru; his cherished daughter, Lara
Adria Di Maio Viator, and grandsons, Ethan Ryan Via-
tor and Jack Whitney Viator, of Rhinebeck, New York.
In recent years, Carlo enjoyed the company of Sonnia's

Carlos, and Jorge Romero
Toledo,of Peru, and their
families. He is predeceased
by his brother, Joseph Di
Maio, and nephew, Bjorn
Di Maio, of Miami, Florida,
and survived by Joseph's

Maio. He will be missed
by his brother, Francesco
Di Maio,his sister-in-law,
Anna, and their children,
Gianpaolo and Tiziana,
and his brother, Enzo Di
Maio, of Civitavecchia,
Italy.
A visitation for Carlo
was held on Sunday, Au-
gust 4, 20!9 from 11:00
am until 2:00 pm at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral
Home in Hammond. A Fu-
neral Blessing will imme
diately followed visitation
at 2:00 pm in the funeral
home chapel. Immediately
following the blessing was
a reception at St. Albert's
Catholic Student Center
in Hammond until 5:00
pm. As he requested, Carlo
will was laid to rest in the
family plot of Lara's moth-
er, Irene Stocksieker Di
Maio, in Andes, New York,
overlooking the beautiful
Catskill mountains.
