8.T.A.R. holds 2nd meeting

South Tangipahoa Association of
Runners held its second meeting
Thursday, July 28, in the Poncha-
toula Community Center.
The purpose of this meeting was to
organize the various runs to be held
in this area.
The first run coming up will be the
5K (3.1 miles) Road Race October 8
at 8:30 a.m.
There will be trophies to be given
away in various divisions. Evertone
that enters wtll receive a T-shirt.
The next race will be the Tangipa-
hoa Great Escape 10K Road Race.
More details will be announced at a
later date.
The next meeting will be held
August 25 at 7 p.m. The meeting
place will be announced.
Every runner from this area is urged
to join the runners association. For
more information on membership
