Next question, where do you find
these forms you need?
Newspapers have plenty, expecially
the large dailies on Sunday and
Wednesday when the supermarket
ads are biggest. Look in magazines,
grocery stores (our local Winn Dixie
posts them on a bulletin board).
drugstores, dimestores, on the pro-
duct label itself and sometimes even
on television ads. where toll-free
numbers are given.
There are probably a couple hun-
dred refund publications in the U.S.
that list refunds and people who want
to rade refund forms. Doing this
trading one-for-one is the best I'll
send 15 forms to a person in another
state. In turn shell send back 15
different ones Usually the major
compan',es offer their refunds to all
areas• Somet:mes though the form
will mention the states it's good in.
You have to watch
When you start to accumulate a
large number of forms you should
divide them up by expiration date. so
you don't get upset when you are
ready with your POPs to send in.
only to find the offer expired last
month.
I don't normally fool with any offer if
it's under a dollar Paying 20 cents
now for a stamp makes the offer
worth only 80 cents if it started as a
liquid laundry detergent - a TV ad:
free exercise album.
How much can you save?
I average about $5.00 a week in
refund checks, about three free food
coupons a week. With regular
coupons I also save about 20 percent
a week on my food bills• If you are
determined to cut food prices you can
do it - maybe as much as $500 to
$1.000 or better each year. It all
depends on how many refunds and
paper coupon cutting and using you

There are even conventions for

offers where yu don't even need a
form or no purchase is even required.
Recent ones? Free insect repellant -
call a toll-free number that was in the
newspaper: free cigarettes and satin
pouch - another phone number: free

coupon box If I don't I for sure run
across an unadvertised special that's

On some boxes and packages there
are half price film developing

developed cheaper by mail usually.
Beside that savings they often offer
"free food or product" coupons for
using their service. You can get a
free five pound bag of sugar, free
paper products. $1.00 coupons off
cereal, and more.
Talk about surprisers that come in
boxes, here are some recent ones:
free nylons, agree bah point pen and
a coupon for a free ice cream cone.
These were all featured on boxes of
cat food or came enclosed!
Some people make enough hard
cash with refunds alone to open up a
Christmas Club account or other
savings account aimed at buying a
major appliance or taking a
vacation,
