Just when PHS was starting to
get its game back on, East Jeff
interfered and received a pen-
alty, pushing them back only to
the 19 yard line. Unfortunately,
they still somehow managed to
make another two touchdowns
with 6:52 left in the game, mak-
ing the score 24-26.
Thankfully, PHS got it to-
gether in order to make_another
touchdown after multiple first
downs starting bn E. Jeff's 35yd
all the way to the goal line with
a total of six Ist downs in a row.
This brought the finaI score
to 30-26, and finished the game
by keeping East Jefferson in one
spot. When Ponchy got the ball
turned over to them. they took
a timeout and decided to just
run the clock out. "I would have
rather not been trailing," Coach
Hank shares, "But I knew we
would win the entire time."

including repairs or a complete
renovation of the boat launch
at Pass Manchac, working
through the state Department
of Transportation and Develop-
ment (DOTD).
He cited the repaving of 1-55
and of the interstate service
roads as evidence of progress.
Politically, Pugh opined,
"Ponchatoula needs its own
senator, which we had when
John Hainkel was alive."
"We are in a positive mode in
South Tangipahoa, with three
roundabouts planned for 2012,
two at 1-12 and one at Club De-
luxe. Regarding Walmart, it's
good to see new business come
in. We have long planned to
4-lane Highway 51. The bridge
over Ponchatoula Creek will be
the main obstacle. I hope we
can now accomplish this," said
the local state representative.
Pugh thanked Kiwanis for
its part in his being named king
of the next Strawberry Festival.
And Pugh praised the daughter
of Kiwanis member Mark Mob-
ley, Michelle, who is now chief
page of the Legislature.
And Pugh said that from an
abysmal reputation, Louisiana
has raised itself up so "We are
Number One in ethics."
