SOCIETY Ava Phelps to wed Keith Boudreaux Mr. and Mrs. Claud E. Phelps of Ponchatoula wish to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their only daughter, Ava Melayne, to Keith David Boudreaux. son of Mr and Mrs. Ralph J. Boudreaux of Ponchatoula. The future bride graduated from Ponchatoula High School and received her degree in Dental Hygiene at Pensacola Junior College, Pensacola, Florida. She is presently employed by Dental Health Services of Hammond and Dr. C. Kenneth Sherman, also of Hammond. Miss Phelps is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis E. Bush of Andalusia, Alabama and the late Mr and Mrs. OC [&apos;helps of (;,ui]l' Alabama. The groom-to-be graduated flora Ponchatoula High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University He is self-employed with Tangi Turtle Farm. Mocsary CINNAMON COFFEE CAKE 2 cups flour (all purpose) 1/2 cup sugar 4 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 4 tablespoons Crisco oil 2 eggs (beaten) 1 cup milk May be hand mixed with a spoon or electric beater. Mix all dry in mixing bowl, add beaten eggs and cooking oil. stir and slowly Beat until all lumps are gone. Pour into oiled 9x13 inch pan and cinnamon and sugar, then bake in 350 degree oven 25 minutes. i ; i ! Bikeathon aids worthy charity The Cystic Fibrosis Bikeathon held in Ponchatoula on Saturday took a lot of effort on the part of local bicyclists making the round trip to Rosaryville, escorted by Ponchatoula City Police and Ponchatoula Postmaster Richard Palisi, who piloted a pickup truck "bicycle ambulance" to help those with flats.
