MARY "BERNICE" BIGNER
Mary "Bernice" Bigner, 82, a native of Ponchatoula and resident
of Pumpkin Center, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010.
She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.
She leaves behind her children, Lavenia Thompson, Delores
Davidge, Reynold Bigner Jr., Dale Bigner, Pat Bennett and hus-
band Arthur, Eugene Bigner, along with seven grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bigner is also survived by her three
brothers, Carl, Marvin and Howard Mounce, as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
Preceding Bernice in death were her brother, "Buck" Mounce;
sisters, Clara Singletary and Gracie Coates; parents, William and
Hester Mounce.
Religious services were held at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral
Home, on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Rev. Kevin Hoopes offi-
ciated the services and interment followed in Jerusalem Baptist
Church Cemetery.

EULAH DELAUNE LEBLANC
Eulah Delaune LeBlanc, 94, Ponchatoula died December 11,
2010, at Landmark Nursing Center. She was born February 11,
1916, in Patterson, Louisiana of the late Ernest & Margaret He-
bert Delaune.
Mrs. Leblanc was a seamstress for Valmie.
Surviving are her four daughters, Bernice & Eugene Sharp,
Irma & John Wilde, Julia Nicolosi, and Cynthia & Danny Bar-
ron; two sons, Percy R. Lavigne and Ronald J. & Carol Lavigne;
fifteen grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren; thirty-
six great-great-granchildren; one brother, Lawrence Deluane.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Percy R. Lavigne,
Sr.; second husband, Joseph LeBlanc; two grandsons, Darron Scot
Lavigne and David Allen Sharp; great-great-grandson, Ezekiel
Sharp; brother, Ernest Delaune, Jr.
Visitation and funeral services were held at Harry McKneely &
Sen Funeral Home in Ponchatoula on Monday, December 13, 2010
until the funeral services in the funeral home chapel.
Interment followed in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Hammond,
Louisiana.
ROBERT JULES EGNEW
Robert Jules Egnew, a resident of Chesbrough, died at 5:07 a.m.
on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Hood Memorial Hospital in
Amite. He was born March 30, 1944 in Ponchatoula and was 66
years of age.
Robert was a graduate of Ponchatoula High School and South-
eastern Louisiana University and later retired from the State of
Louisiana Department of Health with over 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Hyde Egnew, Chesbrough; son,
Kevin Egnew, Dallas, TX; sister, Joyce Kupper and her husband,
Killian, Ponchatoula; two brothers, Andrew Arnold Egnew, III and
his wife, Theta, Slidell, and Emmett Egnew and his wife, Nancy,
Ponchatoula; aunt, Madeline Poche, Ponchatoula; mother-in-law,
Ethel Hyde, Chesbrough; sister-in-law, Melanie Rick and her hus-
band, Anthony, Amite; brother-in-law, Claude Hyde, Jr. and his
wife, Sherry, Caledonia, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Andrew Arnold Egnew, Jr. and
Anna Mercier gnew; fa her-in-law; C att e+ Hyde, Sr.
Visitation was held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Sun-
day December 12, 2010 and again on Monday, December 13, 2010
until religious services were conducted by Deacon Michael Agnello.
Interment was in Hyde Cemetery, Chesbrough.
