squad has consistently been at the top of the defensive rankings.
While there will be no shortage of bone crunching hits, this won't
be a defensive struggle. Both teams have great running games,
and explosive passing offenses. I expect a moderate amount of
scoring from both teams, with a game-changing turnover being
the difference maker.
Given the fact that Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has so much
more big game experience than the 49ers Colin Kaepernick, I ex-
pect the "green pea" to make the big mistake.

spread of disease and maintain
a good quality potato in our
area. Cut the potato in such a
way that you leave at least one
eye on the skin and a healthy
section of white.
Potatoes that are bought
from the supermarket are usu-
ally treated with a retardant to
keep the eyes from sprouting.
Let the cuttings age in the sun-
light a few hours to cure and
harden. Drop them 12-14 inch-
es apart and drop a handful of
fertilizer between every other
seed. Cover with four inches
of soil and wait for sprouts to
grow about 8 inches then pull
soil up around he sprouts, al-
most covering them. When the
plant blooms you can harvest a
few for new potatoes, then the
plant will yellow. You dig all up
for mature potatoes.
Only eat the red potatoes
and never never eat a green one
that did not get covered with
soil. They are deadly poison.It's
called alkaloid solanine which
is made in all green tissue of a
plant.
The rule for planting is:
From the full moon to the new
moon - below ground crops; and
from the new moon until the
full moon, above ground crops.
Plant edible fence row

pear, chouchoute, choko, pipino-

(sechium edule) or plain old
sechium is an edible fence row
ground or place in a brown pa-
per bag and stow in a very dark
spot. In a few days the end of
the pear will open up and a
shoot will appear. Plant under
a trellis or fence row in full sun
in your garden.
The entire plant is edible,
with the roots cooked like pota-
toes.
The fruit, leaves and shoots
are stir fried in many Oriental
salads and in main entrees for
casseroles. Enjoy!
