Green/es wipe out Northshore 4-0

Steve Hebert and Asa Faulkner's
Seventh inning runs stacked four in
Ponchatoula's favor as Northshore was
PUShed aside 4-0 Tuesday March 26.
,.Asa Faulkner sparked the first frame

Kupper's play. Pat Miller attempted to
steal home but instead picked up their
third out.
Asa Faulkner walked to first and later
took home when Scott Kupper
stranded a base on a center field error.
Jeremy Robinson was the only
Greenie player to penetrate North-
shore's infield in the sixth inning as
Timmy Disher drove one straight to the
pitcher's mound, Clem popped one up
to second and Mike Hutches desper-
ately scrambled to reach first but didn't.
Although Northshore was scoreless.
Ponchatoula had to pull in at least two
runs in order to insure their position at
the top of the seventh•
On two hits. a sacrifice, a stolen base
and a Northshore error, Ponchatoula
hustled in those two runs credited
to Steve Hubert and Asa Faulkner.
Ahead by four runs. Ponchatoula
held a tight infield during Northshore's
crack at bat. as they were unable to
secure even one successful base hit.
The Greenies notched a 4-0 sweep
over Northshore.
In team totals. Ponchatoula brought
in four runs on eight hits. five stolen
bases, four walked batters, six strike
outs. two sacrifices, two RBI's and one
Ponchatoula error.
Finishing superior on the hit list was
Asa Faulkner and Jeremy RobinsOn"
with two each as Steve Hubert. Pat
Miller. Timmy Bey] and Clem McKay
each added one.
Steve Hebert and Asa Faulkner did
the overall scoring with two each as Pat
Miller and Timmy Beyl were the only
players to list an RBI.
Of the five total stolen bases. Pat
Miller scooted in for two as Steve
Hebert. Asa Faulkner and Clem McKay
took one each.
Steve Hebert. Asa Faulkner. Pat
Miller. Timmy Bey]. Jeremy Robinson
and Mike Hutches all struck out once as
Hubert. Faulkner. Beyl and Scott
Kupper were the only players walked
to first

Little did Steve Hebert know that
when he was walked to first by the
Demon pitcher in the tie breaker inning
Monday, April. he would move on to
clinch Ponchato'la's winning run,
Following Asa Faulkner's single,
Hebert stole third and moved on to win
the game 2-I,
But it was a hard fought victory.
Steve started off the first inning with
the team's second balk of the season
where he was called out as Asa
Faulkner and Scott Kupper's left field
flys put Ponchatoula back in the field.
In the second inning Timmy Beyl was
faced with two outs as his teammates
another out to the board. Clem McKay
trajected forward to first on a shortstop
error as Mike Hutches met a awaited
Demon at first which put him out,
Ponchatoula played a tight infield as

round of the tie breaker frame.
Ponchatoula became the victor of the
match on a Steve Hebert run to win the
game 2-1.

Hubert also succeeded in leading the

A federal judge in New Orleans says
former Secretary of the Interior James
Watt failed to comply, with a federal
law which requires the "fair and
equitable" distribution of oil and gas
revenues derived from production off
Louisiana's coast, said Attorney
General William J. Guste, Jr.
U.S. District Judge Henry Mentz, a
recently appointed Judge from this area,
ruled that his court has jurisdiction in the
case between Louisiana and the Interior
Department, involving the distribution
of more than $2.7 billion being held in
escrow.
