Jaycees outwit Athletic Shop

The Athletic Shop team members
were loaded with vengeful spirit and
determination but it wasn't enough to
compat against Jaycee sluggers who
together combined scoring 20 runs
on 13 hits in-which there were four
doubles, a stolen base, I0 walked
batters and only six strike outs.
"Brad's got speed but no control, no
control at all. At the plate, I never strike
out as much as my brother Kelly does,"
remarked Athletic Shop's secondary
pitcher Kieth Averette in the first frame
when the game was tied at one point.
But Kieth's thoughts soon drifted
away when in the second inning, the
Jaycees literally dropped the bomb on
Athletic shop which blew away their
three run lead.
In that second frame, the Jaycees
scored a massive 14 runs on I0 hits
and five walks• The score now favored
the Jaycees 18-7
Athletic Shop retaliated but was un-
able to scrape up the base hits or walks
from Jaycee relief pitcher Brad Berner.
Brad, who pitched two innings, struck
out four barters, walked four and
allowed only one hit, Bobby Wolfe. the
Jaycee starting pitcher, lined up five
strike outs and walked 15 batters at
large,

Bobby Wolfe led the team in scoring
with three runs; David Probst, Brad
Berner, Mike Ribera, Johnathan Picou
and Stephen Disher all attributed two
each as Darryl Falcon, Chad Falcon
and John Foggleman each added one.

and Johnathan Picou each walked
once.
At the plate for Athletic Shop, Kieth
Averette and Josh Stevens led the
team in scoring with three runs each as
Brett Pinion, Kelly Averette, Kelly
Brooks, Sammy Singerman, Rondale
Dufrene and Jamie Wald each pulled
home one run.
Rondale Dufrene and Josh Stevens
led the team in walks with three each',
• Kieth Averette, Kelly Brooks and
Jamie Wald walked twice each and
Brett Pinion, Kelly Averette, Lonnie

Athletic Shop finished scoring 12 runs
on only one hit. a stolen base, 18
