It also helped Dale Brian Kuebler earn the highest rank in scouting, Eagle. Norman Bacon, who serves scouting on the distric{ level, provided further information from Kuebler's Eagle Scout file on his achievement. The Eagle Scout himself is not scheduled to return to Ponchatoula until late July from his position on the staff of Bacon said that Brian, as the scout's friends call him, collected the names of 333 veterans from the Ponchatoula area whose names might otherwise have been lost to history. Most were from the Spanish-American War and the Civil War.
