Last chance to Aquacise!
By BARBARA WAGNER
Community Center Director
Nobody does it better! Come on
every one! Don't miss this last chance to
enjoy and tone-up your entire body.
The Ponchatoula Community Center
still has a few remaining openings in
their summer Aquacise program.
This activity is done in the beautiful,
clean Ponchatoula pool in three to five
feet of water. The basic toning exercises
concentrate on the hips, thighs, tummy,
chest and arms. The water provides a
cool environment while acting as an
extra force to the body thereby
increasing ones body tone, strength,
and endurance.
Our prices are reasonable and the
program is quite enjoyable. For more
information come by the center
between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or
call us at 386-3867.
Cost is $25 for eight one hour
sessions on Tuesday or Thursday.

Letters to the Editor
Thanks Hardhide
Dear Bryan:
The Chamber of Commerce wishes
-.to publicly acknowledge our gratitude to
Hardhide for his recent efforts in behalf
of our local businesses located on
Highway 22.
The person who is inconvenienced by
D.O.TD. should realize he is only out
of patience whereas the merchants are
out of customers. There is always
parking space along R.R. Ave. and
space by No. 3. the locomotive. This
parking is only one block away from any
business. Walking is promoted - be
healthy!
Merchants are our local citizens who
are constantly being called upon to
contribute money or goods towar0
some endeavor in the community.. TheY
are our church members, club member,
neighbors, and friends. They depend
on us for their livelihood. Help a friend.
Shop locally.
Thank you again, Hardhide. PleaSe
pass the word on to Mr. Pinchpenny.
Sincerely,
Jeanne B Za e

Nielsens sing
at Unity Baptist Church
Ronnie and Angle Nielsen performed
a Gospel concert Sunday at Unity
Baptist Church on Hwy. 22 in Poncha-
toula, La. where Steve Golden is the
pastor. Ronnie is the Minister of Music
and Youth at Ebenezer Baptist Church
in Hammond, La., and his wife, Angle,
works for Dr. Tim Frederick of
Ponchatoula. Ronnie and Angle brought
their youth to Unity also.
The two churches, along with Mount
Nebo Baptist Church, went to Youth
Camp together in Pensacola, Florida
this past June and they developed a
close relationship with Unity and Mount
Nebo Baptist Church.
The Nielsens did a variety of Gospel
songs including: Precious Blood, We
Will Stand, and many Praise Choruses.
