Crystal Ann Stilley became Mrs.
Douglas Glynn Bailey in double ring
ceremonies July 6, 1985 at First
Assembly of God Churcb
She is the daughter ot Mr. and Mrs.
Richard I. Stilley of Ponchatoula and
Ms. Teresa Nemeth Phillips of Monroe•
Bro. Jerry Claunch officiated•
Parents of the groom are Mr. and
Mrs. Enos F. "Jake" Bailey of
Hammond.
The church was decorated with three
large, beautiful pastel-colored fresh
flower arrangements. The altar was
decorated with full ferns and ivy from
Graham's Nursery• Small colored nose
gays arranged by Frances Lavine
marked the pews.
The bride wore a white organza
gown, on-the-shoulder ruffles, bodice
accented with sequined and beaded silk
venise. Her skirt was trimmed with
ruffles on a semi-cathedral train• Her
headpiece was made of white silk
flowers and beaded pearl sprays with a
three layer fingertip length veil made by
her aunt, Mrs. Enola McLaurin. The
bride's bouquet was made of a fresh
variety of white flowers.
Attendants included: Maid of Honor
Sonja Jordan, Brenda G. Henkel,
Becky C. Claunch, JoAnn G. Mike,
Michelle Henderson, Tessa Patterson,
and Flower Girl Rachel Bailey.
Bridesmaids wore tea-length dresseS,
each of a different pastel color. Dresses
were made of colored taffeta with while
lace and organza. They carried freSll
glower nosegays in soft spring colors.
Groomsmen wore white D
tuxedoes, with tie and cumberbun
in a different pastel color to match
dresses of the girls they escorted.
Best Man Bailey was accompanied by
Groomsmen Scott Henkel, Charl,
Claunch, Brad Welford Steve Lin;

Ushers were John Miller. David
Claunch, Harry Lavine, and Andj

Phillips, mother of the bride.

Tangipahoa Video Association), in
conjunction with the Tangipahoa Parish
School Board and the various parish
law enforcement agencies are offering a
child identification program for children
enrolled in public schools, private
schools, day care centers and other
child care facilities.
This program entails obtaining an
audio-video tape of each child in
addition to a written profile consisting of
vital statistics, identifying features (such
as birth marks, mannerisms, speech
impediments, etc.) and a brief medical

Historian
Twenty-three members were present
at the American Legion's regular
monthly meeting, held the first
Thursday of every month. The Legion
is glad to accept all dues sent through
the mail, or paid to another member.
Boy Scout troop 101 is seeking new
members and the return of old drop
outs.
Len Kraft gave a brief report on the
scout canal trip down Tickfaw River.
Everyone had a good time-and not one
blister on the hands.
Planning is underway for fi-Veteran's
Day Celebration for Nov. 1 I: details by

The flag pole on Legion plot in the
Ponchatoula cemetery was repainted by
Len Kraft, Buddy Anthony, and Buddy
Joiner.
Fall conference will be October 27 in
Gonzales, La.
Legion membership agreed to
sponsor an Arts and Craft show in the
American Legion Home Ponchatoula,
La. on November 16-17. For more

Local boy
on TV Monday
Postponed by Hurricane El,ha, 'the
Louisiana Cajun King program
featuring a local boy will be aired 8 a.m.
Monday on Channel 9 (WAFB-TV).
The segment will appear on the
Morning In Louisiana show. Billy Chase
Gueldner of Weinberger Road won top
honors in the pageant over 11 other
contestants

meeting of the year. The meeting was
called to order by president Karen
Freeman who introduced the 1985-86
officers. The roll was called by Lori
Hoover who was standing in for

treasurer Kelly Hutchinson• The club's
beginning balance is $203.78. The
meeting was then turned over to the
club sponsor who explained the club's

hold a dutch-treat luncheon meeting on
Thursday, October 10, 1985 in the
private dining room of Westparl-
Hospital in Hammond at Noon.
The purpose of this meeting is to
review both public and professioral
education programs in the varioos
communities in addition to the patient
service assistance program sponsored
by the Cancer Association.
