Rep. Dennis Hebert named to bank board
Southeast National Bank has
announced the appointment of State
Representative Dennis Hebert of
Ponchatoula to the bank's board of
directors.
The addition of the veteran legislator
to the board coincides with SNB's plans
to open a branch bank in Ponchatoula
early next year.
Last summer when the plans for the
new branch were announced, SNB
President and Chief Executive Richard
Blouin promised some Ponchatoula
representation on the bank's board.
"In the future as we expand into other
parts of Tangipahoa parish we will
continue to add board members from
these new areas," Blouin said.
Hebert has never served on a bank
board before, and the Ponchatoula
native says that he is looking forward to
the challenge.
"It will enable me to help people in
many ways," Hebert said, "especially
since Southeast National is a very
service-oriented bank."
Southeast National is a full-service
bank that recently celebrated its one-
year anniversary.
SNB is located on Fagan Drive at
U.S. 51 in Hammond.
Hebert has served for more than a
decade in the State House and
represents the 7th and 8th wards ol
Tangipahoa parish. He is presently a
full-time legislator, having retired from
the Shell refinery at Norco.
